After the degree in Mechanical Energy Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, he joins Agip (now Eni) in 1990 in the R&D dept. dealing with underwater technologies. He was the Project Engineer of the SAF system, the deep-water modular installation & intervention system developed inside Eni, designed for the completion of subsea wells in 1.000 meters wd. It was successfully utilized in 1998 for the installation and completion of the Aquila field, in the south Adriatic Sea in 850 m wd.
He was the team leader for the feasibility and concept definition of the ABO Project (Nigeria). During the execution phase of the project, he was the lead of the FPSO package. The ABO field, started-up in April 2003 after 14 months from FID and it was the first Nigeria deep-water field in production. He was the Project Manager for Abo Extension and the coordinator of the Nigerian Other Operated assets.
Since 2009 he is holding the position of head of the Subsea & Deepwater Engineering Department, supporting the Eni affiliates worldwide.
