With over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, Andrea Spessa is the Head of Department for Offshore, Midstream & Downstream business line in DNV Southern Europe where he deals with the verification and sustainability of infrastructure projects in the oil & gas and energy sector with particular attention to the of the development of subsea, umbilical, risers and flowlines.
He started his professional career working in Agip / ENI dealing with oil platforms and later in Edison where he coordinated the Adriatic LNG project, the first LNG offshore gravity base terminal in the world.
He has been with DNV since 2015, after having gained over 10 years of experience as Managing Director and Board Member in an EPC company.
Andrea holds a master's degree in Structural Engineering at Polytechnic of Milan and a Master in Business Administration at Bocconi University.
