A variety of career choices and paths has led Sue to being the current Vice-President and Chair of Council for the Society for Underwater Technology.
As well as being heavily involved with the SUT, Sue is currently an Apprentice Master with the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers (WCSIM) , a City of London Livery Company. This is a volunteer role mentoring and supporting engineering students. In recent months she has been appointed as the Company's Almoner.
Her roles within the SUT have included Chair of the Education & Training Committee; Chair of the Education Support Fund; Member of Council and Trustee. In December 2021, Sue was the first female to be elected Chair of Council.
