Large gas fields in deepwater that are far from shore can introduce a range of design and operational challenges, including the need to transport high volumes over long distances, while having to develop comprehensive hydrate management strategies. Implementing technology bricks that provide enabling solutions for such demanding fields including electrical heating of pipelines, subsea chemical storage and injection, long range controls system combined with all electric actuations or larger bore 7” Trees. This presentation will discuss the differentiating merits of these technologies, focusing on large bore trees and all electric / long range distribution and how they can contribute to the acceleration of time to first gas.
